Welcome to our 6th, Part 2, installment of our traveling blogs.
The year is 1996, the month is July. We are driving from Texas thru St Louis to visit relatives in Chicago and Holland, Michigan. On our way back we took a detour to the Indianopolis Motor Speedway. This blog will be in 2 parts. This is the 2nd part, “Michigan thru Indy”.
The highlights from the 2nd part of our trip. Visiting relatives in Holland ,Michigan. What a beautiful place with great relatives. The highlight for me though of the trip was the visit to the Indianapolis Speedway. The Indy 500 held every Memorial weekend is literally my Super Bowl. It is a must watch with no interruptions , outside noise or chatter. I was absolutely amazed at the length of the track (2miles), when you actually see it in person. TV does it no justice.
